About Us

The name "Little Acre Arabians" was derived in 1979 from Tex's father Mathew Kam. The Kam family's original farmstead was in the small farming community of Mundare, Alberta about an hour east of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In the Mundare countryside, it was not uncommon for a single landholder to farm several hundred to even several thousand acres. The Kam's 80 acre horse ranch set amongst the lush wheat fields was small in comparison to their neighbors. Tex's father deemed the name "Little Acre Arabians" to be a perfect fit.

Today, Little Acre Arabians is located in the northwestern corner of Edmonton. Tex is a third generation horseman and the basis of Tex's breeding program has been the utilization of Pure Polish and Polish related Arabian bloodlines. The farm has stood at stud such well known stallions as Medalion and WA Fools Gold, and now proudly offers VF Premonition and Matisto to our clients.

Little Acre Arabians has been and will continue to be a boutique operation breeding one to three foals per year.

Tex is supported in his Arabian horse endeavors by his two twin granddaughters Emily and Hanna Hutchinson.
